The Red River of the North flows from Breckenridge, Minnesota to Lake Winnipeg. In addition to praying for the water, we prayed for the 134 people found dead in the river since 1979. Walkers carried a copper vessel with water from the headwaters of the river and also a staff with a strip of fabric for each person. There were 130 names and four people who have never been identified.
